air-filter-changeMany homeowners are aware of the fact that mold can be a hazard in the home that causes a wide variety of health issues. Prolonged exposure to excessive amounts of mold can trigger asthma symptoms, allergies and even cause infections in some individuals. Your indoor air quality is extremely important and should be given the proper amount of consideration to ensure it is at an appropriate level. At On Time Home Services Temecula we can provide you with the answers you need regarding your home’s air quality.

Mold Index Test

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has developed the Environmental Relative Moldiness Index (ERMI) test that finds and quantifies innumerable species of mold in the home. There are two groups of mold that are identified: one group of mold is that which is associated with water damage and the other group is one that is independent of any type of water damage. The test results are categorized into levels one through four, with four being the most likely to have the greatest chance of having a mold problem. Level one indicates that the home is very unlikely to have a mold problem.
